How To Rank Higher in Search Results With Great Content

great content post

Google has made it no secret that in order to rank higher in search results, you have to provide great content. But many businesses struggle with creating content or even understanding what great content is or why it matters. Today we’re sharing how to create content so you can rank higher in search results.

  1. Be consistent

So many small businesses and local websites start blogs, write a few posts and then never write in them again. It’s important to remember that blogging and building SEO is a long term strategy, not a short term one. So while you may not see results right away, you will see them over time if you stay consistent. To make it easier to maintain your blog, try posting less but keeping it consistent. So instead of posting three times a week, instead just post once a week. You will be able to stay consistent and still post great content.

2. Think about your audience and what they want

When writing content that will help you increase your search results, you will want to think about what your audience might be looking for. What types of things relating to your industry might they be searching? For example, if you are a local auto body shop, you might want to post about common car maintenance problems or how certain weather affects cars. Try to think about what your customers are looking for and create content around it!

3. Look for local and broad topics

If you are a local business who caters to primarily local customers, you may want to write about local topics, such as local events or news. This will help you rank in local search results and will establish you as a community driven company. Mixing this content in with broader topics, like those mentioned above, will give a good balance to your blog and help you rank in different combination of search results.

Following these three tips, as well as other SEO tips we have spoken about on this blog, will help you continue to rank on Google so more customers find your business.
