Why is it important to post regularly to your blog?

Blogging

Have you ever thought about putting a blog on your website?  Not sure what you’d talk about?  Maybe you don’t even know where to start.  Blogs can mean different things for different people.  Some people think of blogs as “news” or what is happening in their industry right now, as we speak.  Others use their blogs to speak about their products and services which will help their website with their SEO.  This allows you a place that you can freely talk about just about anything.  Blogs are great for driving more traffic and pulling more people in to learn more about whatever they were searching for.

People search for all kinds of answers.  Sometimes a blog isn’t just to “sell” per se but to be informed about your services and products.  Maybe you explain how to fix something, the same service that you offer.  Most of the time the DIY are not going to tackle large projects that could go terribly wrong.  But, this will show your audience that you know what you are talking about and what you are doing.  That is exactly what we mean by building authority.  This, in turn, will build trust with your clients.  The more trust you have the more likely to get a sale.

Link your blogs to social media!

While you are building your blog you should be building your social media audience.  Social media is a wonderful way to interact with your clients and potential clients and let them know what is going on.  As you post blogs you can set up syndication to your social media accounts that will send out the new post and what it’s about.  This is a great way to keep your audience informed and engaged with your product or service.

Once your syndication process is set up, it is simple to continue to post and interact with your social media.  Take the time to do this one step and you will not have to think about it again.  However, your blogs will land in front of your audience.  These small announcements can intrigue people into coming to take a look at what you are saying.  Getting more traffic to your site is how you make more sales.  And, a blog is one way to do just that.

Informative blogging makes sales.

When you are blogging, think about your audience and what they would like to read about.  This isn’t just for selling but for informing as well.

For example, maybe you offer two of the same product but different brands.  You could go into detail on which is best in different scenarios.  Or perhaps, write up a review of each, stating the pros and cons to each of the choices.  This helps inform the buyer of what they are to expect with each option.  These kinds of things are helpful for the buyer in many ways and also help with your SEO rankings.  People are looking for this sort of information and your blog can be the one that offers it.

Writing informative, helpful, and useful blogs for your visitors helps you build trust, authority, and with SEO.  Let’s put a blog on your website.
